"Mommy, I'm hungry!" Even an hour after having breakfast or lunch, lil ones' stomachs seem to find a way to ask for more food. A handful of goldfish crackers here and pack of graham crackers there, snacking has become big business.

I recently attended a festive holiday cookie swap and was delighted by a creative treat contribution that's bound to please any mini eater: hot chocolate on a stick.
The creator melted chocolate, poured it into an ice try, impaled the chocolate bits with a Popsicle stick and let it set. He made little labels that instruct "stir into one mug steaming milk...Mmmmm!"

Pumpkin pancakes pumped up our little ones during Halloween, but this recipe from Lisa Barnes, author of Petit Appetit: Eat, Drink, and Be Merry, stacks up against Thanksgiving's tasty treats. Barnes recommends snacking on the cakes after the turkey is long gone. She says, "Pancakes are a great weekend family tradition as well as a sleep-over treat for all ages.

Your little sprout can help you bake up this healthy side dish for your holiday meal. Chef Lisa Barnes claims, "Although they are one of my favorites, I realize Brussels sprouts are not welcome by many. I think they get a bad rap because they are usually boiled, bland, and still rock hard in the center.
